Three silver plates, China, early 20th century Each decorated with two of the eight Taoist immortals in light relief, all between waves and clouds - Li Tieguai on a trunk and Lan Caihe with his basket of flowers, Zhang Guolao on his donkey and the flutist Han Xiangzi on a crane in flight and finally Lü dongbin with his sword standing on a carp and He Xiangu holding a flower and floating on a lotus leaf), with four sigillary characters at the bottom (baxianguohai ?), and a Chinese zuyin (pure silver) hallmark on the reverse.
