Visitor’s stickpin for the equestrian events held in Stockholm during the 1956 Summer Olympics. Gold-plated, 13 mm x 19 mm, depicting a classical horse and rider above Olympic rings. The main 1956 Summer Games were held in Melbourne, Australia, but the equestrian events could not be held there due to quarantine regulations; Stockholm was chosen as the alternative site. The equestrian events began in June, nearly six months earlier than the official opening ceremonies in Melbourne.
