Hans Stern - Brilliant/ruby ladies' ring - late 1970s, Rio de Janeiro, white gold 750 stamped, hallmarked with the company logo "S" - in a circle and diamond, delicate ring head, stepped, in the shape of a stylized flower bud - made of a drop-shaped faceted ruby - set on a cloud of diamonds, RW61, Gca,3,34g, with value expertize H. Stern 1979 Hans Stern (1922-2007) emigrated from Germany to South America in 1939 and opened his first gemstone store in Rio in 1949. 60 years later, he owned the third largest jewelry company in the world, with its headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. In the 1980s, he launched the first collection with Catherine Deneuve, which was co-developed by a film star and became a great commercial success; similar projects were to follow. The H.
