A YIXING ZISHA TEAPOT AND COVER A YIXING ZISHA TEAPOT AND COVER China, 20th century. The kettle modelled in the form of a Daoist temple bell with a wide scalloped rim, the sides applied with a sinuous dragon forming the spout and handle, and the lid surmounted by a double-dragon suspension handle. Each section of the scalloped foot is decorated with taijitu, the sides with large rectangular reserves enclosing an inscription, above a band of mythical beasts. Inscriptions: Apocryphal seal to the underside of the lid and vessel ‘Made during the Qianlong period’ 乾隆年制 . Provenance: From a private collection in Zagreb, Croatia. Condition: Good condition with minor wear and manufacturing irregularities. Few nicks, tiny losses, and some rubbing. The lid with losses.
