Description

Pair of Capitol Complex chairs by Cassina Like the famous office chair, this armless chair also uses the characteristic "V"-shaped design of the side bars. However, in this case, the bars are shorter and do not extend to the arms. Instead, the sequence of seat and backrest woven in Viennese cane is emphasized, connecting with a wide geometric section supported by two wooden profiles. The legs, aligned in the same plane, are simple but at the same time imposing. One of the most iconic elements of the Capitol Complex in the Indian city of Chandigarh is the wooden armchair, a tribute to Pierre Jeanneret. This armchair stands out for its unique construction in black-stained solid oak, with a woven Viennese cane seat. In a gesture of respect towards its creator, Cassina has begun producing it again today. Measurements: 81 x 45 x 57 cm
