Jens Quistgaard (Copenhagen, 1919-2008) Dansk Designs Cooler in solid teak wood and interior finish in linoleum. 1960s Dansk Designs, often misunderstood as a Danish firm, is actually a company originating in the United States. Established in 1954 by Martha and Ted Nierenberg, the company grew out of their travels through Europe, where they discovered innovative products to introduce to the American market. The latter, recovering from the post-war period, longed for a transition towards a less rigid and more contemporary and minimalist lifestyle. Measurements: 13.5 x 22.5 cm
