In-8, red half-maroquin with corners, richly decorated smooth spine, wide gilt border framing the boards (period binding). First edition illustrated with 24 hors-texte plates showing fruits and flowers drawn by Mlle Joséphine P. and Prêtre, engraved by François Maradan and finely hand-watercolored. A fine copy, despite a few scattered brown spots.

French Sevres porcelain cup and saucer. The cup is of a gravy boat form, richly adorned with gilding and relief green painted patterns depicting laurel branches and scrolled foliage motifs and a sun face mask on the front side. The handle is modeled as an acanthus leaf spray. The deep saucer is decorated in the same style. Dimensions: Saucer L: 7 in., (17.5 cm.); Cup H: 5 1/2 in., (11 cm.) The cup and saucer are in good condition overall. The paint and gilding are well-preserved. There is a hairline crack on the causer.
