First edition of this opera, here in a piano arrangement. Premiered on April 12, 1826 at Covent Garden, this opera was a great success. Meyer died having only glimpsed this success, on June 5, 1826, while writing a German adaptation. Contemporary half-basane, smooth spine, false nerves with gilding, speckled edges. Board edges worn, binding rubbed, pages sometimes slightly browned with ink, small marginal wetness on last 5 leaves. Uncommon.

The poster depicts band mascot Eddie as he appeared on the band’s album Somewhere in Time. Rolled and in fine condition.
