Secret signature below 12 o'clock. 61 mm 18K yellow gold case with guilloche decoration and monogram in the center. 36 hour power reserve, ruby cylinder escapement. Movement 25", signed Breguet, smooth brass three-arm balance wheel, with parachute on the upper pivot. In running condition. The chatelaine has a marquis crown and initials on the back. Note : Abraham-Louis Breguet (1747-1823) devised the "subscription" watch in 1794. It was one of many "inventions" resulting from his period of forced exile in Switzerland during the French Revolution. The concept was simple and brilliant: to offer. his clients a watch that was paid a quarter in advance and the rest once finished.
