WWI Poster. FAIVRE. 4è. Emprunt De La Défense Nationale. Poster measuring 80 x 120 cm. Illustration with vivid colors. Below the image, on the right, the author's signature. Title in the lower margin. Traces of wear, but good condition. Submission of the defeated William II, with his sword broken, dominated by the flags of the Triple Alliance. Jules Abel Faivre, 1867-1945, French painter, illustrator and cartoonist, member of the Société des Artistes Français, became famous by creating propaganda posters for the French army in the First World War. He drew comics for Le Rire, L'Écho de Paris and Le Figaro.
