Censor's seal: Kinugasa, Murata. Oval seal with zodiac date (Rat 4). Signs of wear, bright colors. Play: Ise ondo koi no netaba. The play is loosely based on a real killing spree which took place in Furuichi (aburaya Sôdô), and which caused a sensation, about two months before the play's premiere in the 7th lunar month of 1796. Actors from l: Iwai Kumesaburō III, Ichikawa Danjūrō VIII, Ichikawa Komazō VII, roles: Aburaya Sôdô, Fukuoka Mitsugi, Aidamaya Kitaroku.
