Rome. WAGNER. Roma. Rare engraving depicting the panorama of the city of Rome on which stands a coat of arms with the inscription SPQR ripping through the clouds. Bottom 12 explanatory captions. Easily recognizable St. Peter's and Castel Sant'Angelo, while trees and hills loom in the distance. The engraving was made before 1694, the year of Wagner's death. C. Album of costumes from the Court of Rome, including an illustrated engraved title and 29 engravings with captions in Italian, all enhanced in color by hand: vestments for the Pope, cardinals, Latin, Greek, Armenian and Syrian bishops, prelates, secret cameramen, Swiss guards, etc. Enriched copy with a watercolor engraving depicting the Pope in his habit for Christmas Eve. Slight scattered soiling, otherwise a very good, finely watercolored copy.

Album with illustrated engraved title and 30 engravings, all hand watercolored. The title vignette depicts a dance scene, the saltarello, engraved by Mochetti after Bertini, while the other engravings depict female and male costumes from Rome and surrounding cities. A fine copy, finely engraved and watercolored.

Two folded maps and 38 plates out text. Good copy. Beautiful French edition by Vasi with numerous small engravings within the text that highlight the most valuable monuments of Rome. The two folded tables in the first volume contain the maps of ancient Rome and modern Rome.
