TIEPOLO. Il martirio di Sant’Agata. Etching, 441x250 mm. Margins. State II/III. Good condition. Rizzi, no. 130: "The original work, datable according to Morassi in 1745-50, and according to Pallucchini in '50, is preserved in the Staatliche Museen in Berlin. It lacks, however, the upper centered part that is seen in this engraving. A preparatory study of the figure of the assassin, in the opposite direction to that of the print, was presented at the "Hall of the Seasons" in Pisa in 1970 with the attribution to Giambattista."
