CALLOT. Vue du Ponte Neuf. Engraving of 165x335 mm. Glued on cardboard. Signed in the lower right "Callot fec." State II/V. Good specimen. Spectacular large view of Paris, drawn by Callot during his stay in Paris in 1628-1630 and engraved after his return to Nancy. In this engraving, Jacques Callot depicts a view of the capital centered on the Pont neuf. He shows the daily life of Parisians in the 17th century. Thus, the Seine has a central place in the supply of the city and its trade. This engraving is worn as a witness of the life in the 17th century.
