Bazara Meikira is one of Twelve Heavenly Generals (729-749) protecting the principal Yakushi Nyorai buddha of healing and medicine at the Shin-Yakushi-ji temple, which was founded in 747 by the Kegon sect in Nara Japan by Empress Komyo (701-760) of the Fujiwara clan.
