Affiche Ancienne Original vintage drink advertising poster for Smirnoff, the renowned vodka brand founded in Moscow. Smirnoff uses a humorous advertising slogan here - "They think we're just good friends... but we've discovered Smirnoff." The photograph features a smiling man and woman sitting on a bench by the seafront. The man is wearing white flared trousers, sunglasses and sat in a relaxed position with hands in pockets. The woman is wearing a patterned green dress, yellow heels and shyly covering her smile. These original vintage Smirnoff advertising posters are part of the 1970s The Effect is Shattering campaign by the London-based Young and Rubican agency, which aimed to promote the vodka as a way to achieve glamour and excitement as an escape from the humdrum of daily life.
