Unknown Affiche Ancienne Original vintage sport and advertising poster by O'Keefe's Brewing Company featuring an illustration of fishermen in boats on choppy sea waters, the caption reads - First! In Canada Unlimited. Off Liverpool, N.S., schoolteacher Thomas Pattilo hooked a fighting tuna. Tossing in its wake, his dory plunged among the fishing fleet - and angry fishermen slashed his line. Later in 1871 Pattilo landed a 600-pound bluefin tuna - and founded the world famous sport of tuna fishing. Keen sportsmanship has won many firsts for Canada. It keeps our opportunities in work and play... unlimited. Horizontal. Fair condition, staining, browning, fold, repaired tears, creasing, printed on card. Country of issue: Canada, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 28x107, year of printing: 1930s.
