Affiche Ancienne Original vintage sport poster for the IXth British Commonwealth Games Edinburgh Scotland 16-25 July 1970 featuring a photograph of Scottish pipers walking past a smiling couple and the historic Edinburgh Castle on a hill behind them, bold title text in black and red lettering. This multi-sport event has been held since 1930; 42 nations participated in the 1970 Commonwealth Games, opened by Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh and held at the Meadowbank Stadium. Published by the British Travel Association and Printed in Great Britain by Gripplegate Printing Co. Good condition, creasing, tears, staining, tape on edges, paper skimming.
