A RARE GIRARD PERREGAUX SHELL POCKET WATCH the circular black chapter ring dial with Roman indices and minute markers, exhibition aperture to the centre, circular case with exhibition back revealing a keyless wound movement signed Girard Perregaux & Co. Shell Special GXM 7 Jewels, diameter 42.5mm. Accompanied by an original advertisement illustrating the use of fine-quality motor oils for watch lubrication as a means of demonstrating their purity. Watch is currently functioning but timekeeping not tested.
