Damascus tile Siliceous clay with polychrome painted decoration under transparent colorless glaze Levant, Damascus, 1550-1600 Size: 22 x 25 cm As is (accidents and missing pieces) Decorated with a tulip encircled by saz leaves, and scrolls in turquoise, cobalt and green on a white ground. Tiles from the same group are in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum (acc. N° 520A-1900). (chips on the edges).
