Beautiful Chamberlain's sword, Napoleon III period, straight blade with four symmetrical sides and two fine gutters running on either side of the edge, chased gilt bronze mounting, truncated cone-shaped pommel adorned with lightning bolts, the pommel plate is domed and carved with a heliotrope flower whose center is formed by the tang of the blade. Single hilt decorated with a frieze of foliage and reinforced with a ring in its center. Filigreed horn spindle, main plate bearing two crowned crossed keys on a background of oak and laurel branches. In a sheet steel scabbard with two bracelets. Condition 2
