Rare ‘State of New York, Executive Chamber’ mailing envelope, postmarked at Lake Placid, New York, on January 25, 1932, signed in the upper left in fountain pen by Franklin D. Roosevelt, who, as the governor of New York, opened the 1932 Winter Olympics 10 days later on February 4, 1932. Roosevelt would be elected President of the United States nine months later. The upper left corner bears a block of four 2-cent Lake Placid skiing stamps. In fine condition.
