George H. Thomas and Lovell Rousseau Civil War-Dated Endorsements Signed Civil War-dated endorsement signatures, "Lovell H. Rousseau" and "Geo. H. Thomas," on a document wrapper, 3.5 x 4.75, by which Rousseau forwards the document from "Hd. Qrs. 1st Div. 14th A.C. Chattanooga, Nov. 7th 1863," and Thomas forwards it from "Hd. Qrs. 14th Army Corps, Chattanooga, Nov. 8 1863." Additionally endorsed on the reverse in ink by James K. Reynolds. In fine condition, with a central vertical fold. Lovell Rousseau (1818-1869) was a General in the Union Army during the American Civil War, who later represented Kentucky in the House of Representatives. George H. Thomas (1816-1870) was a Union general whose most decisive victory earned him the sobriquet 'Rock of Chickamauga.'
