James Monroe Document Signed as President Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 16 x 9.75, December 2, 1822. President Monroe grants "Jacob Ruse alias Buse" of Ohio a plot of land "in the district of Delaware, and State of Ohio, containing Eighty Acres." Boldly signed at the conclusion in ink by President James Monroe, and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office John McLean. The white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains fully intact. In fine condition, with slight fading to Monroe's signature.
