Meist fest auf Karton montiert, auf diesem hs. u. typogr. bezeichnet, tls. mit einbelichteter Bezeichnung. Gezeigt wird: Francis Frith: Ansicht des ptolemäischen Tors an der südwestlichen Wand des Amun-Re an der Tempelanlage von Karnak (vgl. Victoria a. Albert Museum, E.208:837-1994). - Bethanien, Blick auf die Ruinen der Stadt von oben (Getty Museum, 84.XO.1294.2.36). -- Gebrüder Zangaki: Karawane in der Wüste. -- Straßenansicht in Jerusalem mit Santa Veronica. - Nur vereinzelt mit unscheinbar blassbraunen Fleckchen sowie in den Kanten etw. bestoßen. Insgesamt sehr gut erhalten. Egypt and Palestine - Collection of 4 large format orig.- photographs. Albumen prints. Mainly firmly mounted on mat, with handwritten a. typogr. inscription, partly with exposed inscription in the lower margin. - Depicted: Francis Frith: View of the Ptolemaic Gate on the southwestern wall of Amun-Re at the Temple of Karnak (cf. Victoria a. Albert Museum, E.208:837-1994). - Bethany, view of the ruins of the city from above (Getty Museum, 84.XO.1294.2.36). -- Zangaki Brothers: Caravan in the desert. -- Street view in Jerusalem with Santa Veronica. - Only occasionally with inconspicuous pale brown stains and slightly bumped in the edges. Altogether in well preserved condition.

David Hockney Signed Exhibition Catalog Hardcover exhibition entitled "Dessins et Gravures," published in 1975 by Galerie Claude Bernard of Paris, 6.25 x 6.5, signed and inscribed on the title page in black ink, "For Leo with admiration, David H." In very good condition, with a small spot to the inscription, scattered marks and staining to boards, and the front board slightly warped.

Small in-8 lemon morocco, richly decorated ribbed spine, gilt title and date, triple gilt fillet framing the boards, gilt edges, interior lace (Cuzin). Small dark spots on boards. Copy on vellum illustrated with a frontispiece and 4 out-of-text figures by Monsiau (in two states before the letter). With an added engraving by Marillier. Spotting otherwise a very fine copy. Armorial bookplate of David Lionel Goldsmid-Stern-Salomons, mayor of Turnbridge Wells (1851-1925). Handwritten bookplate Eugène Paillet. Bookplate JM.
