Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) Vallauris Toros. Poster for the Vallauris potters' association. 1956. Linocut. Sight: 575x725. Bloch 1270; Baer 1043; Czwiklitzer18. Color print. Very fine proof on ivory vellum, signed in red pencil. Slight vertical bleeding in the blue inking. Fine horizontal fold open at the right edge of the subject, forming a thin 45 mm line contrasting with the background. Margins. Edition of 200 proofs. Framed. Provenance: Mario Brun (1911-1990), close friend of Picasso, journalist and star reporter on the Côte d'Azur in the 1960s-1970s.
