Facsímil edición única "Libro de Oraciones de Claudia de Francia", 2009 The Claude de France prayer book is an exuberantly decorated book in a tiny format of only 49 by 69 millimeters. It was created in Tours around 1517 and was made by the so-called Master of Claude de France, his favorite painter. The work became famous for its incredible wealth of images made up of artistic and detailed miniatures, depicting 132 biblical scenes from the life of Christ and Mary, as well as the apostles and other saints on 104 pages. Unique edition limited to 980 copies, this copy is numbered 228. Black leather case or similar and inside the miniature book and a sheathed magnifying glass. Box measures: 6,8 x 16,7 x 22,3 cm; Book measures: 2,2 x 15,2 x 21,5 cm (1); 1,6 x 6 x 7,5 cm (1); Magnifying glass measures: 0,5 x 6 x 7,3 cm (1).

Paris, Hachette, 1856. 20 volumes. 13 by 21 cm. Red half-maroquin, 5-rib spine, period, speckled edges. Binding in excellent condition (a small stain on the lower cover of one volume, the only mentionable flaw, not serious). Scattered light foxing, otherwise very good condition inside. Two fold-out facsimile plates, including a facsimile of the Duke's holograph will, reproduced using the Photography of Furne fils, making this one of the first books to be illustrated with photography. This is the first complete edition of the famous memoirs by Chéruel, who collated them from the original manuscript, preceded by a notice by Sainte-Beuve. It remains a reference edition, here in a sober but high-quality binding. A very fine copy, with the bookplate of Baron de Bellet.

Fine quality color facsimile, explanatory book in soft color paperback on glossy paper to imitate the vellum of the original. A second, explanatory volume by Marie-Hélène Tesnière is included in the box. Red velvet box with magnetic panel closure. Pouch containing the second volume partly detached. Box in protective cardboard. Very fine work, superb condition.
