Stormont lived in Rye with her husband, fellow artist Howard Gull Stormont (1859-1935), and created the Rye Art Gallery Trust in 1957. She bequeathed her house, the Ypres Studio, to the Trust in 1962, and a large number of her works are still held in the gallery's collection.
