Note: Prout produced various watercolours of Ratisbon Cathedral (also known as St Peter's Cathedral in Regensburg), depicting its distinctive architecture on the exterior and in the interior. Indeed, another version of the present composition is held in the collection of Eton College [FDA-D.416-2010], whilst similar cathedral interiors can be found in the Cleveland Museum of Art [1940.560] and in the collection of the Royal Watercolour Society [PBP62].
