In addition to being well-known through several versions in oil, Lefèvre's portraits of the Emperor were widely circulated through prints and appears to have provided inspiration for many miniaturists working at the time, including Jean-Baptiste Isabey (1767-1855) and Jean-Baptiste Augustin (1759-1832).
