Manner of Jacopo Vignali, late 18th/early 19th century- Study of a bearded man, shoulder-length, in profile; black and red chalk on paper, tondo, dia. 21.5 cm. (unframed). Provenance: Private Collection, UK. Note: The present drawing resembles Vignali's (1592-1664) sensitively-handled head studies, typically executed in red and black chalk, including a drawing of a male head which sold at Christie's, London, on 24 November 2009 (lot 416), and another which was offered at Dorotheum in Vienna on 27 September 2017 (lot 117).
