After Giovanni Battista Piazzetta, Italian 1682-1754- Saint Peter, shoulder-length, holding keys; reverse painted on glass, oval, 11.5 x 9.5 cm. Provenance: Private Collection, UK. Note: The present work is a copy after Piazzetta's original composition [Fondazione Zeri 67144], which was reproduced a number of times, including in a later print by Marco Pitteri (1702-1786) [BM 1856,0614.9]. The composition of the present work is reversed from the original.
