ANTHROPOMORPHIC OIL LAMP In the form of a seated male figure wearing a himation, the folds of which are incised on the right shoulder. Legs spread, the mouthpiece formed by the figure's phallus. Head missing. Orange terracotta. 8.5 x 9 5 cm Egypt, Roman period An Egypto-Roman Terracotta anthropomorphic oil lamp. Depicting a seated man, his shoulder covered by a drapery, wide leg with large phallus forming the beack of the lamp. Missing head. 1st-2nd Century A.D. Provenance Private collection from the South of France, from an archaeological expert, assembled between the 60s and 90s.
