KANDILA VASE This jar has a slightly asymmetrical neck, a pedestal and four openwork crescent-shaped handles. The conical neck is slightly tapered, with a wide mouth and a thick, irregularly rounded rim. Its rather compressed hemispherical body with a flat, narrow shoulder rests on a conical foot with a discoidal base. The four long, crescent-shaped legs, carved in the shape of a cross, are pierced for suspension. Signs of retouching. Smoothed, circular, ridged tool marks are visible on the underside of the foot. The four long, crescent-shaped lugs, carved crosswise, are pierced for suspension. Signs of reworking. Circular, striated tool marks, which have been smoothed, are visible beneath the foot.
