Well carved from a jade pebble with russet inclusions along the backs of the dragons. With finely incised lines throughout and natural indentations along the base. Style of Wang Bingrong (Chinese, 1820-1875). Pale lime green bisque glazed brush pot with a carved landscape. Stamped along the underside Wang Bingrong Zuo (Wang Bingrong Made). Wang Bingrong was a notable potter specializing in porcelain with carved decoration, almost like ivory carvings, active in the Tongzhi to Guangxu periods (1862-1908). Height: 5 1/2 in x diameter: 3 1/2 in.

Shapely Chinese porcelain brush pot with carved and lacquered wood stand, possibly Qing dynasty. With gilt rim and pigment depicting a mountainous village landscape along one side and a birds roosting among a cherry blossom tree along the verso. Painted mark along the underside, possibly reading "Qianlong Period Make." (Not including stand) Height: 4 3/4 in x width: 3 1/2 in x depth: 2 1/2 in.
