JUAN RIBERA BERENGUER, (Valencia, 1935 - Valencia, 2016). "Old train station of Aragon, Valencia". Oil on paper. Signed in the lower right corner. Measurements: 89 x 174 cm; 104 x 189 cm (frame). Trained at the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de Valencia, Juan Ribera was a founding member of artistic groups such as Parpalló, Arte Actual and Movimiento Artístico del Mediterráneo. He has been part of the Valencian and Madrid artistic avant-garde, participating in the exhibitions of the Juan Mordó gallery. He exhibited individually at the Dirección General de Bellas Artes de Madrid (1969) and the Museo de la Ciudad de Valencia (1998), among other centers, and participated in important group exhibitions such as those held at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris (1963), "Pintores figurativos de la España actual" (1964), which toured the United States, and the IVAM in Valencia. Throughout his career he has received pensions from the Diputación and the City Council of Valencia, the Casa Velázquez in Madrid and the March Foundation, and has been awarded the Valencia Prize at the Fine Arts Exhibition in Barcelona (1960), the Diputación de Valencia at the National Exhibition in Madrid (1968), the gold medal at the Salón de Marzo in Valencia (1977) and the Archival Prize for artistic merit (1995), among others. Ribera is represented in the San Pío V Museum of Valencia, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vilafamés, the Municipal Museum and the Circle of Fine Arts of Madrid, the Museum of Springfield (Massachusetts), the Cathedral, the Diputación, the Ateneo and the Museum of the City of Valencia, etc.

GENARO LAHUERTA LÓPEZ (Valencia, 1905 - 1985). "Landscape. Oil on board. Signed in the lower left corner. Measurements: 65 x 100 cm; 91 x 121 cm (frame). Lahuerta began his studies at the School of Arts and Crafts of Valencia, to later enter, in 1919, in the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos. After completing his training, he began his career as an illustrator for various publications of the time. In 1928 he made his individual debut at the Sala Blava in Valencia, and the following year he organized his first individual exhibition in Barcelona, at the Sala Parés. In 1932, after winning a third medal at the National Exhibition of Fine Arts, he received a scholarship for a study trip to several European countries. In 1943 he won a second medal at the National Exhibition, and five years later a first medal, consolidating his success both with critics and the public. In 1953 the General Directorate of African Plazas granted him a scholarship to paint in the Spanish Sahara. Throughout his life, he was a member of the academies of San Carlos in Valencia, San Jorge in Barcelona, Santa Isabel de Hungría in Seville and San Fernando in Madrid. Among other distinctions, he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Academy of Arts, Sciences and Letters of Paris, and in Spain the Ministry of Education and Science awarded him the Medal of Merit in Fine Arts. He is currently represented in the Reina Sofía Museum, the Fine Arts Museums of Bilbao and Asturias, the Ateneo de Madrid, the City Hall of Valencia and in various Spanish private collections, such as that of the Bank of Spain.

Exquisite and decorative portrait of a Valencian Lady, 18th century Spanish school, style of José Camarón y Bonarat (Segorbe 1731 – Valencia 1803) Oil on canvas measures: 82 x 62 cm, good condition, requires cleaning. Son of a family of artists, his father, Nicolás, worked as a sculptor for the Segorbe cathedral and for the Jesuit church in the same city. His mother, Damiana, was the sister of the miniaturist Eliseo Bonanat. Married in 1758 to Juliana Meliá, he had five children, who also dedicated themselves to the arts: José Ventura (Segorbe, 1759), José Juan (Segorbe, 1760 – Madrid, 1819), Manuel (Valencia, 1763 – Segorbe, 1806), Rafael (Valencia, 1772) and Eliseo (Valencia, 1780). José Camarón received his first humanist training from the Jesuits of Segorbe and his artistic training in the workshop of his father and his uncle, Mosén Eliseo Bonanat. F.
