In-folio eggplant half-maroquin with band, smooth spine, gilt title, large geometric decoration of cut papers and gilt curved fillets on the boards, gilt head, cover preserved (René Kieffer). 12 plates of engraved drawings by Lucien Jonas illustrating Daphnis et Chloé. Edition of 111 copies; no. 65 of 100 on Arches vellum, with an autograph letter from the "amateur" publisher signed "D. Hallola [or Hallorle?]" and dated October 1933. A very fine copy. Spine unstained.
