This spectacular image always shows a sharp horizon on the moon because the moon has no atmosphere around it to distort sunlight. The horizon is so sharp that lunar mountains and valleys can be seen around the perimeter of the lunar disk. Vintage chromogenic print. Numbering in the margin on the front. Legend on label on back. 40.6 X 40.6CM with margins.

RARE WALL CLOCK, HOLLAND EARLY XIX CENTURY with green lacquer wood case finished in gilt metal and pierced with plant motifs. Face of dial in metal painted landscape with side bird decoration.
