Drawings, paintings, installations, videos and performances constitute the work of Nedko Solakov (Cherven Briag, Bulgaria, 1957), who often populates his exhibitions with handwritten texts and small doodles that can be discovered in any corner, or that noticeably run along the walls. His personal reflections on life, art, politics or society are often infused with humor, irony and poetic breath. Solakov laughs at everything, especially at what scares him the most, as if to chase away his own fears and embarrassments. His works, among others, are part of public and private collections such as: Le Centre Pompidou, Paris; Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt am Main; Tate Modern, London; The Museum of Modern Art, New York; Kunsthaus Zurich, Zurich.
