Gilt bronze wall-mounted chased cartel decorated on the sides with rams' heads, mascarons and stylized flora, it is adorned with draperies and Regency motifs. Enameled dial with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes. The cartel and lamp base form a bronze set. With key, gong and pendulum. Napoleon III period Reference: This is a replica of a cartel attributed to André-Charles Boulle, a cabinetmaker, foundryman and gilder under Louis XIV, in the Metropoliatn Museum.
