19th century FRENCH SCHOOL, in the taste of Antoine Watteau (1684 - 1721). Cupid offering a dove to a young woman seated in a park, a fan in hand. Oil on canvas (small lack towards the middle left). On the reverse of the canvas the printed mark of the canvas dealer: MATHIEU PICOT / A PARIS. H. 24.5 - W. 32.5 cm. Gilded and molded wood and stucco frame in violin form with foliate scrolls. The painter was inspired here by certain models of young elegant women by Watteau, such as the woman with a fan in the Récréation Italienne (Berlin) or the Divertissements champêtres (London).

- Collection from Drouot storage from 10am on Saturday June 1st, on presentation of the label and the sold consignment note corresponding to the lot(s). Storage charges apply from the 3rd working day.

- Monday to Friday, 09.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
