18th century South American Spanish Colonial period "Virgin of Quito," a carved and polychromed wooden figure of the Virgin Mary. With a metal removable crown. She wears a gilt gown with floral decoration and is draped in a royal blue and red brocade sash. She stands upon a crescent moon atop a gilt wood base. Height: 22 in x width: 10 in x depth: 10 in.
