Ivan Sollogoub, born in 1974 in Paris, is a contemporary artist from a family of white Russian émigrés with aristocratic origins. A descendant of the noble Lopoukhin family, Ivan's artistic heritage is highlighted by a famous portrait of his ancestor, Countess Maria Lopoukhina, painted by Vladimir Borovikovsky, which is exhibited at the Tretiakov Gallery in Moscow. Growing up within the rich cultural tapestry of his émigré background, Sollogoub's work often explores themes of identity and memory.
