CHEMIAKINE Michel Mikhaïlovitch (°1943) Fantastic figure. Drawing on paper signed by the artist upper right in pencil in Cyrillic characters "M. Chemiakine" and dated 1975, preserved under glass in a modern frame. Traces of humidity. Sight: H.: 30 cm - W.: 23 cm. Frame: H.: 47.5 cm - W.: 41 cm. Ivan Sollogoub, born in 1974 in Paris, is a contemporary artist from a family of white Russian émigrés with aristocratic origins. A descendant of the noble Lopoukhin family, Ivan's artistic heritage is highlighted by a famous portrait of his ancestor, Countess Maria Lopoukhina, painted by Vladimir Borovikovsky, which is exhibited at the Tretiakov Gallery in Moscow. Growing up within the rich cultural tapestry of his émigré background, Sollogoub's work often explores themes of identity and memory.
