LIVING ROOM PEDESTAL TABLE. Neo-classical work, Bohemia, late 19th century. In round form, green opaline base supporting an eglomised glass top decorated with a gold antique scene "Venus confiscating her bow from Love" on a black background framed by a frieze of acanthus leaves on a green background, framed by a gilded bronze frieze, ending on a square blackened wood base resting on four gilded bronze ball feet. Good condition. H.: 75 cm - Diam.: 48 cm. Reference: this model can be compared with another pedestal table from the Imperial Crystal Works in Saint Petersburg, designed by André Voronikhine in 1808 in red crystal with a blue glass top, in the collections of the Pavlovsk Palace.
