PEDESTAL TABLE - WORKER. Danish work, mid-19th century. Model based on a design by Jorgen Roed, in mahogany, resting on four legs supported by a brace and ending in a lion's paw. The top opens onto four storage compartments. Good condition, fabric trim missing. H.: 73 cm - Diam.: 46 cm. Reference: see a similar model in the Naples Museum, reproduced in "Herculaneum po Sjaelland", published in 1988, page 211, fig 208 (Kunstindustrimuseet, Copenhagen).
