The hinged lid with side push-button is engraved at the top with the autograph signature "E. d'Orléans, Duc de Vendôme, 1921" of Prince Emmanuel d'Orléans, Duc de Vendôme (1872-1931), first cousin of King Ferdinand I of Bulgaria, inside in vermeil.
