ÉLISABETH, Princess of France, Madame Elisabeth (1764-1794) Small folded envelope containing locks of hair belonging to King Louis XVI's sister, inscribed in ink: "Cheveux de Madame Elisabeth". This small envelope was originally kept in a larger envelope with other relics of the royal family, all of which were put up for sale in 2015. Provenance: collection of Jean-Baptiste Gomin (1757-1841), given to Viscount Alcide-Hyacinthe du Bois de Beauchesne on his death by his widow on June 2, 1841.
