Sello doble de Shoushan, s.XX

Pair of carved shoushang stone seals, of intense reddish hue, adorned with two mythical beasts arranged in the upper area, with intimidating expression of large eyes and open jaws; they have the body covered with scales, with a large horn crowning the head and a tail curled on the hindquarters. Both beasts are joined by a chain of links made of the same material. They show inscriptions on the front and seals made in low relief on the base. With custom-made box, 20th c. Measures: 8,1 x 5,2 x 5,2 cm; Box measures: 8,4 x 24,2 x 24,5 cm.

A CHINESE SOAPSTONE TABLE SEAL square, surmounted by the carved figure of a Buddhist lion, inscribed to the front, carved matrix, on a wooden stand; together with a Chinese carved stone figure of a Shoulao, on a carved hardstone stand. (2) Shoulao 20cm high The seal with a small chip in one corner. Shoulao's stand with a couple of minor chips. Seal only: 11.5cm high, 8.3cm square.
