Description
Set of four chairs, ca. 1960. Ebonized wood and bulrush. Measurements: 80 cm x 45 cm x 41 cm. This chair model is a classic of the furniture of the sixties and seventies. Handcrafted, the structure of these chairs is made of solid ebonized pine wood. It combines cylindrical uprights with flat crossbeams. The seat and backrest are made of braided bulrush. Its design resembles Charlotte Perriand's reinterpretation of the traditional French chair in the "Bauche n. 19" and "Dordogne" models. Its formal and material austerity brings a warm counterpoint to modern interiors.
