Wolf in St. Petersburg & Moscow, 1868. On the title page, bookplate of Prince A.N. Golitsyne, stamp of the M.O. Wolf bookshop on the flyleaf. Contemporary calf half-binding. Format in-8°, 320 pages. Some wear. Provenance: Prince Alexander Nikolayevich Golitsyne (1830-1911), a hussar officer in the Imperial Guard, who also proved to be a bibliophile, even as a teenager. He was mentored by his father's friend, the scientist and bibliophile Alexander Dimitrievich Chertkov (1789-1858), whose library he kept.
